Might have to enlarge the top image to actually see it, sorreh! I plan on finishing this in the next couple of days. Kinda inspired by the Native American project I did in 1st year of uni.
Was bought a snazzy round canvas so thought I'd practice colourful/painterly background making on it. The turquoise and yellows look kinda good with the purple woot but the yellow tattoo on the left leg isn't right; annoying.
I was watching Gok Wan and he said ice cream colours are so IN right noooow so I started using ice cream colours and now I can't stop. Although they've gone a bit acid-trip-y now (see post 'I'm Back Baybeh' from 9th August '10).
A few sketches made in Bristol, where I hope to study one day :) need to get back into practice, especially concerning the speed needed to draw people in public with their bloody MOVING all the time. tsk
Another self-initiated project on getting lost and being in unfamiliar territory. These are from location drawings done around Rainham, Hartlip, Swale, and then over to Maidstone. More to come!
Work from a previously mentioned uni project, self-initiated, about documenting the folk-lore/urban legends around Maidstone. A couple have been posted before but as poor quality photos of the drawings, se here be some nice scans :) The top image is all cut paper. And a little bit of paint and pencil.
Various images from university and one (the fish-man) from my own work; playing with collage and paint and whatnot. The top two images were actually prep work for an Alice in Wonderland cover design.
Daydreaming about the scifi concept of machines becoming sentient enough for it to be unethical for us to keep them as slaves. Hopefully I will finish this soon!
